Registration Info
September 1st, 2011 was the start of a new year for Gymnastics BC. All gymnasts must pay the $18.00 registration fee, which is valid for classes through to August 31, 2012.
If you would like to register your child for any of the classes, please email your request to columbiavalleygymnastics@yahoo.ca. Please include your child's name, age, the day and time of the class you would like, and your home phone number. The CVGA will confirm your registration request. You will be notified before the class starts if there are not enough registrants to run the class.
You may print the registration form from this website. Please check off Zone 1 and Artistic Rec. Classes are secured upon receipt of class payment and a completed registration form. The CVGA policy states that we must receive payment and a completed registration form by the second class or the participant will not be able to attend any further classes.
Payment and registration forms are due at the first class. Please bring your cheque/cash and completed registration form to the class and leave with the coach. Alternatively you can mail your cheque and completed registration form to:

Families with multiple children will receive a discount on the class fee (not the registration fee). 10% off for the second child and 20% off for the third child.

Classes are held in the old Radium School Gym, now the Kootenay Parks administration building. 7155 Columbia Avenue. While heading North on the highway from Invermere, take the first left in Radium, go down past the hockey rink and community hall to the stop sign and take a right. The club is on the left hand side one block down. The building is beige with a Kootenay Parks sign out front.
Class Descriptions
Parent & Tot – 12mths to 36mths
Parents/caregivers actively participate with their child in basic gymnastics. They experience the use of all the equipment set up appropriately for the age level. This class develops body awareness and coordination.
Tumbling Tots – 3 to 4 years
This class incorporates gymnastic skills and movements using all the equipment. The class includes with warm-ups, stretching and gymnastics time, and ends with games.
Kindergym – 4 to 5 years
This class follows the Cangym Recreational program developed by Gymnastics Canada. The focus is more on physical development than Tumbling Tots, while promoting coordination and socialization.
Beginner Rec RecGym – 6+ years
This class follows the Cangym Recreational program developed by Gymnastics Canada. The focus is on building strength, flexibility, and the skills required for provincial level competition. This class is progressive, allowing participants to advance their skill level on an on-going basis.
RecGym 2/3 - 6+ years
This is a 2 hour session for gymnasts who have progressed through the previous beginner rec levels. The focus will be on practicing and enhancing learned skills and techniques in order to advance to the next level. Perfect for the serious gymnast.
