Columbia Valley Gymnastics Club
Registration Info
September 1st, 2009 was the start of a new year for Gymnastics BC. All gymnasts must pay the $18.00 registration fee, which is valid for classes through to August 31, 2010.
You may print the registration form from this website. Please check off Zone 1 and Artistic Rec. Classes are secured upon receipt of class payment plus an $18.00 fee and a completed registration form.
We will be asking all gymnasts currently enrolled in the fall session for an extra $1.00 for insurance, as the fee was listed at $17.00 in error.
Please mail your cheque (payable to CVGA) and registration form to CVGA, BOX 2061, Invermere, BC, V0A 1K0.
Families with multiple children will receive a discount on the class fee (not the registration fee). 10% off for the second child and 20% off for the third child.

Classes are held in the old Radium School Gym, now the Kootenay Parks administration building. 7155 Columbia Avenue. While heading North on the highway from Invermere, take the first left in Radium, go down past the hockey rink and community hall to the stop sign and take a right. The club is on the left hand side one block down. The building is beige with a Kootenay Parks sign out front.
Class Descriptions
Parent & Tot – 12mths to 36mths
Parents/caregivers actively participate with their child in basic gymnastics. They experience gym time using all the equipment set up appropriately for the age level. This class develops body awareness and coordination.
Gym Tots - 3 to 4 years
For young children who are not quite ready to be left without their caregiver but ready to be with the bigger kids. Parents/caregivers actively participate with their child in basic gymnastics. This class incorporates gymnastic skills and movements using all the equipment. The class will start with warm-up, stretch, gymnastics time, and end with games.
Tumbling Tots – 3 to 4 years
This class incorporates gymnastic skills and movements using all the equipment. The class will start with warm-up, stretch, gymnastics time, and end with games.
Kindergym – 4 to 5 years
This class follows the Cangym Recreational program developed by Gymnastics Canada. The focus is more on physical development than Tumbling Tots, while promoting coordination and socialization.
RecGym – 6+ years (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced)
This class follows the Cangym Recreational program developed by Gymnastics Canada, focusing on building strength, flexibility, and the skills required for Provincial level competition. This class is progressive, allowing participants to advance their skill level on an on-going basis.
Boys Only Class - 6+ years
This class for boys only follows the Cangym Recreational program developed by Gymnastics Canada, focusing on building strength, flexibility, and the skills required for Provincial level competition. This class is progressive, allowing participants to advance their skill level on an on-going basis.
